Select Standard , Associate or Short-Term Registration Options

To participate in Wasabi Club activities, members must update their registration information annually.  This includes the payment of membership dues and the acknowledgement of our Club Code of Conduct and the Club Waiver, Assumption of Risk and Release of Liability Agreement

Payment of Membership Dues

  • Single upfront payment
    • Equal monthly installment payments - due 1st of each month until the end of the calendar year (note: this option adds $25 to the annual fee)
    •  check payment

    Members who have unpaid dues will not be listed on TeamSNAP rosters and are ineligible to participate in team and Club activities.

    Dues waivers or reduction are available for all members. Contact the Club Secretary to make a confidential request to the Club Board of Directors.

    How/Where do I register for 2024?

    Registration links are listed on our Club website under Registration & Payments.   Do not look to begin the registration process from within TeamSNAP. 

    Follow the instructions on the 2024 Member Registration webpage.  By clicking one of the registration options, you will be transferred to TeamSNAP to complete your 2024 profile.  If you have forgotten your TeamSNAP password, an 'I forgot my password' tip is listed on the TeamSNAP login page.

    What are the differences - Standard, Associate and Short-Term Membership Options?

    Standard Membership covers all teams within the Club for both dragon boat and outrigger.  Participants can paddle, call and steer under this option.  The TideRunner option sets a reduced membership fee for participants for that location only.

    Associate Membership is intended for dragon boat callers and steers; this is a non-paddling membership.  Participants who do not actively participate often choose this option to 'stay in the loop' and receive team and club email.

    Short-Term Membership is for the drop-in participant.  The monthly payment is only economical for member who is active less than five months of the calendar year.

    What are the annual membership dues for a Standard, Club Memebership?
    Dragon Boat Teams:
    Burn - $275 if paid in full/$300 for the calendar year if paid via monthly installment payments

    Five-O- $275 if paid in full/$300 for the calendar year if paid via monthly installment payments

    Kraken - membership dues waived for all U18 Kraken youth

    SOAR - $275 if paid in full/$300 for the calendar year if paid via monthly installment payments

    Special Dragons - $25

    TideRunners - $175 if paid in full/$200 for the calendar year if paid via monthly installment payments.  Members who cross roster to a Portland team must choose the full $275/$300 membership option

    VIP - $25 minimum payment for non-sighted participants.  - $275 if paid in full/$300 for the calendar year if paid via monthly installment payments for sighted participants

    Women's Program - $275 if paid in full/$300 for the calendar year if paid via monthly installment payments

    Outrigger Program:

    Coached Outrigger GRIT program - $275 if paid in full/$300 for the calendar year if paid via monthly installment payments

    Open Outrigger, Pirates program - $275 if paid in full/$300 for the calendar year if paid via monthly installment payments

    Set Crew Outrigger program - $275 if paid in full/$300 for the calendar year if paid via monthly installment payments

    Small Boat program - $275 if paid in full/$300 for the calendar year if paid via monthly installment payments

    Who are you registering today?

    If you already have a Wasabi profile, select the most recent version (example:  your name ending in '23).  This will import as information from the previous year for you to confirm.

    If you do not have a Wasabi profile, select the 'Add  a Household Member'

    Why is Guardian Information asked in the registration process?

    Guardian Information is a TeamSNAP header field for collecting contact information that cannot be turned off.

    For our minor youth on team Kraken the Guardian Information field will automatically expand to request required parent/guardian information.

    Club Code of Conduct and Club Waiver

    Both the 2024 Wasabi Paddling Club Code of Conduct and the 2024 Wasabi Waiver are required documents of the registration process.

    Installment/monthly payments - why does a large number appear on the summary screen?

    Installment and monthly payments are displayed as the total amount (minus service fees) for the total calendar year in your shopping cart.  When you move to the Checkout screen, a button will appear to toggle that payment to installments.  This will display the amount due today and the amounts due on the 1st of each month.

    How do I make my payment?

    Registration is set up to accept online payments via credit/debit card or by bank transfer.  Check/money order payments may also be made by 1). place your payment in the white payment box in the North Breakwater locker OR 2). mail it to us at PO Box 8217, Portland, OR 97207-8217.  No cash payments please.

    Monthly/installment payments can only be managed by online payments and must have a payment method set up for auto-deduct payment.  All auto-deduct payments occur on the 1st of each month.

    All online transactions carry a service fee

    I registered, why isn't my new profile showing on my TeamSNAP roster?

    New registrations do not automatically assign members to the team(s) they selected.  The Club Secretary is informed of new 2024 registrations.  She will process your TeamSNAP profile and assign you to your team roster(s).  This process may take up to 24hrs.

    I lost all of my Availability (snap-ins) for my teams when I registered

    Unfortunately, for the start of the calendar year, all availabilities (snap-ins) through the TeamSNAP calendar are removed.  

    You must go back into each of the teams you are rostered and re-set up your availability.

    For the GRIT outrigger crews, it is unfortunate but you will also lose the snap-in order for crew lineups.  Please make a note in your availability for the coaches when you set up your practice schedule.  This will help them to equitably seat crews.

    How do I finish an incomplete registration or get rid of it and start over?

    Once you have completed your personal contact information and selected a team to register as your primary contact, that selection appears in the shopping cart.

    By clicking on the shopping cart you can delete the entry or continue and complete the registration.

    If you share a computer with another Wasabi member (spouse, partner, Kraken youth etc) make sure they have completely logged out of their TeamSNAP session before you register using that shared device.  Failure to logout, will link your new registration to their TeamSNAP profile. 

    Standard Club Registration

    Annual standard Wasabi Club membership dues are $275 for the calendar year if paid in full at the time of registration.  Members who choose to pay their dues as a monthly payments will be assessed a $25 installment fee.  

    Annual membership reductions or waivers apply to some dragon boat teams.  These will be automatically calculated in the registration process.

    • Special Dragons and non-sighted VIP members receive reduced rate member dues.
    • TideRunners members participating with our team at Nehalem Bay on the Oregon Coast receive reduced rate member dues.  Members who wish to cross roster to a Portland team, must pay full membership dues by selecting a team other than the Tiderunners as their primary team (then cross roster to the TideRunners).
    • Kraken youth.  As a long term promotion of and participation in our sport, Wasabi Paddling Club waives the membership dues for all of our youth members.

    New members  are assessed a $30 one time club join fee which is added to the registration.  Membership dues automatically prorate by $25 each month beginning April 1st.

    Our Dragon Boat Teams:

    • Burn - all age, mixed gender team
    • Kraken - junior, mixed gender High School team
    • SOAR - all age, women's cancer survivor and supporter team
    • Special Dragons - all age, mixed gender team for intellectually disabled athletes and supporters
    • TideRunners - all age, mixed gender team.  Participates in the women's division for racing.  This team is located at Nehalem Bay
    • VIP - all age, mixed gender team for non-sighted and sighted participants 
    • Five-O  - age 50+ mixed gender team 
    • Women's Program - all age women’s program

    Our Outrigger Crews:

    • Coached Outrigger GRIT program - all age, mixed gender crews
    • Open Outrigger - Pirates program - all age, mixed gender crews
    • Set Crew Outrigger - all age, mixed gender invitation only crews
    • Small Boat Outrigger - all age, mixed gender OC1 and OC2 program

    New members are assessed a $30 one-time club join fee which is added to your registration.

    If they apply, prorated dues are automatically calculated on new member registrations.

    Visa/MasterCard payments carry a 2.99% + $0.99 service fee, Charge-back fees are $15.00. Fees are reflected on each transaction payment

    Associate Club Registration

    (non-paddling participation)

    Annual membership is intended for dragon boat steers and callers, however, persons not actively paddling may also use this option to receive email and other Club information.

    Dues are $40 for the calendar year.

    Membership dues may be paid online or via check (monthly payments do not apply)

    New members are assessed a $30 one-time club join fee which is added to your registration.

    If they apply, prorated dues are automatically calculated on new member registrations.

    Visa/MasterCard payments carry a 2.99% + $0.99 service fee, Charge-back fees are $15.00. Fees are reflected on each transaction payment

    Short -Term Membership Option

    Membership is intended for participants who are active less than 5 months annually.

    Dues are billed automatically $50 on the 1st of the month for that month of participation

    Member may discontinue/ payments with 1 week minimum written notice (email) to the Club Secretary; no refunds.

    Members will only be eligible for participationduring the months they pay dues and will only be listed on TeamSNAP rosters for the time they pay those dues

    Credit/debit card must be on file for auto-deduct payments on the 1st of each month

    New members are assessed a $30 one-time club join fee which is added to your registration.

    If they apply, prorated dues are automatically calculated on new member registrations.

    Visa/MasterCard payments carry a 2.99% + $0.99 service fee, Charge-back fees are $15.00. Fees are reflected on each transaction payment
